What documents do I need to take with me to the job?

Please bring hard copies of all documents provided in your Contractor Zone. We recommend printing and organising them in a plastic-sleeved folder to avoid any access issues due to lack of Wi-Fi connectivity.

Ensure that you have read and understood all elements of the joining instructions, as these outline the expectations upon your arrival in-country.

Do I require a Seaman’s Book?

If you hold a valid Seaman’s Book, please take it with you. This document has become increasingly important since COVID-19 due to the exemptions granted to seafarers during international travel.

If you do not currently have a Seaman’s Book, we strongly recommend applying for one as soon as possible.

What should I do if I encounter an issue while on the job?

If you experience any problems while on the rig, please contact Subseaquence immediately at support@subseaquence.com. Our team will assist in coordinating the appropriate response and resolving the issue.

What expenses can I claim for?

  • Clearly indicate the currency used for each expense. If multiple currencies are involved, list each separately and do not include a total.

  • Food and beverages are not reimbursable.

  • For airport delays exceeding 5 hours or while in transit, lounge access may be claimed (entrance fee only, with receipt).

  • Receipts or proof of purchase are required for all expenses; any claim submitted without valid documentation will not be reimbursed.

  • Travel to/from your local airport is claimable only if your journey exceeds a 25-mile radius. Please provide mileage or receipts unless otherwise covered under your agreed travel rate (refer to your Contractor Zone).

  • Airport parking is not a reimbursable expense.

  • Travel upgrades for personal preference will not be covered and must be arranged at your own expense.

  • Additional costs incurred due to missed flights or accommodation as a result of personal negligence will not be reimbursed. If you believe you may miss a flight, immediately contact Clyde Travel at 0141 427 1600 (please save this number to your phone).

  • Missed travel that is not reported in a timely manner will not be eligible for reimbursement.

What PPE does Subseaquence provide?
